No, not at all! We rent to all types of productions (short films, feature films, music videos, and commercials shoots) as well as events of all sizes.
What are your rental terms?
Our minimum rental is one day and there is no maximum. All rentals need to be insured and a certificate of insurance or COI will be required before your rental is final. If you need help obtaining insurance, please reach out.

Through our website, we accept all major credit cards like Visa, Mastercard and American Express. If you are renting outside of our site, we also accept Zelle and Venmo. Cash and checks are not currently accepted.
When is payment due?
There is no payment due when you place the order. We pre-authorize your credit card to ensure it's valid but we don't charge you for the order until after you wrap and the gear has been returned to us!
What forms do I need to fill out?
None! We don't need you to sign a rental agreement, fill out an order form or a credit card authorization form. All of that is built into the order process on our site so it's as easy as possible!
Walkie Talkie Specific Questions
How many channels do your walkies support?
Our professional-grade Motorola CP200 walkie talkies support 16 channels, allowing multiple departments to communicate separately on the same production.
What is the range of your walkie talkies?
In optimal conditions, the walkie talkies we rent have a range of up to 5 miles. However, actual range can vary greatly depending on terrain, buildings, and other environmental factors. A safe distance is closer to 1-2 miles in an urban setting.
Do you provide extra batteries?
Yes, every walkie talkie rental includes a generous number of spare batteries free of charge.
How long do your walkie batteries last?
We only carry high-capacity batteries for our walkies that can last up to 18 working hours. We also include a six-unit rapid charger with each rental so having fully charged batteries is never an issue.
What types of headsets are available?
We only rent surveillance headsets at the moment. If there is another type of headset you are looking for, please reach out and let us know.
How do I choose the right number of walkies to rent for my production?
Great question! The number of walkies needed typically depends on your crew size, departments, and budget. We find that it’s typically easier to count who doesn’t need a walkie since the majority of the crew should have one if your budget allows.
The following roles don’t typically use walkies:
- The Director
- The Sound Dept. (The Mixer, Boom Operator)
- Craft Services
- DIT
- DP
- Script Supervisor
As a general rule, you'll need walkies for:
- Production Dept. (producers, AD department)
- Camera Dept.
- Grip and Electric
- Transportation
- Locations
- Production Assistants
- Security
- Medics
- Hair and Makeup
- Drone Operators
- VFX Supervisors
- Stunt Coordinator
You might also want additional walkies if you have any driving scenes, especially if an actor is driving. That walkie should be left “open” in the car so you can easily communicate with them.
Do your walkies work with walkies from other vendors?
By default - probably not. Each vendor programs their walkies to their own frequency and by chance, two vendors might overlap. Typically though, that is not the case and the walkies would need to be programmed to use the same frequency.
Can the walkies be clipped onto belts?
Yes, each of our batteries, includes the spares come with belt clips.
Rental Process
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking at least 4 days before your pickup date to ensure we have everything you need in stock. You’re also welcome to contact us and put things on hold if needed. We’re happy to hold things whenever possible.
Do you offer emergency/last-minute rentals?
Yes, we maintain a reserve of equipment for emergency situations. Additional fees may apply for rush orders but we try to be as accommodating as possible. We understand any number of things can change at the last minute.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the start of your rental period incur no charge. Late cancellations may be subject to a fee of 50% of the order amount.
Insurance and Liability
What insurance coverage is required?
All rentals require a certificate of insurance that has us listed as the certificate holder. Minimum coverage requirements are:
- General Liability: $1,000,000
- Equipment Coverage: Value of rented gear
- The duration of the policy needs to cover the entire rental from pickup to drop off.
What happens if equipment is damaged?
Minor wear and tear is expected, but significant damage will be billed to the account that placed the order. All damage must be reported immediately.
Are there any additional security deposits required?
A 10% deposit is required to hold the items ordered and to verify the credit card being used on the order. Nothing more is due until after your production wraps the gear has been tested.
