Every month, Banana Walkies donates a walkie-talkie package to one short film! We want to support diverse voices in the Los Angeles filmmaking community and are excited to do our part by providing tools to help you achieve your vision.

What You Get:

• 10 walkies
• 10 surveillance headsets
• 20% off any additional walkies and/or production supplies you rent from us
• (Average value ~$500)

Who Can Apply:

• Short films (30 minutes or less)
• Films shot in Southern California (Los Angeles, Orange, Ventura, San Bernardino, or Riverside counties)
• Directors, writers, or producers who identify as BIPOC
• Shorts shooting within 2 months of when you apply

How to Apply:

1. Tell us about your film:
   • 1 page Synopsis
   • Key team members & roles
   • Shooting dates
   • Why this story matters to you
2. Share your crowdfunding link if you have one (not required)
3. Email us at [email protected]

Fine Print:

• Applications due by the 15th of each month
• Winners will be emailed directly on the 1st
• Walkies will be donated for 2 rental days
• One application per project
• Winners agree to tag us in an Instagram post and write a Google review
• Must provide proof of insurance before pickup
• We will not be able to provide feedback on your application
• There is no obligation to rent from us or rent more than the donated walkie package if you win
• Winners cannot apply more than once
